I never thought
You’d treat me, this way
Cast me aside,
Such harsh words to say.
How did we go
From, “I’ll love you, forever”
To, “We shouldn’t be,
Should not be, together”?
Where did you meet her?
At work, in the park?
While riding the subway
Coming home, after dark?
Drinks at the bar
Her apartment close by
She invited you over
So you told me, some lie?
Texting and messaging
The middle of the night
Thought, I was sleeping
You turned out the light.
You really don’t care
That, you’ve broken my heart
I’m crushed, all in pieces
My world, torn apart.
I never thought
You’d treat me this way
Cast me aside
Then… just walk away.

Wow I really loved your take on the word treat. You decided to make it personal and emotional unlike many general responses. I also responded to this response with a serious tone in mind. If you want to heck it out here is my link. https://thebeatwithkey.wordpress.com/2018/01/03/treats-are-not-diabetes/

Thank you so much!!!! I am new at blogging and really appreciate your positive comments, about my writing. I worked most of my life in the medical field, as a Physician’s Assistant, so I can understand your feelings about diabetes. Sorry for what you have been thru! I also enjoy your writing! Birds of a feather! 🙂

Sorry I am just seeing this but I am also looking into going into the medical field and possibly an endocrinologist. Also thank you for your compassion but it’s getting better. Your writing is also really good and maybe we can collaborate one day.
