A STORMY NIGHT

Thundering crackles
Fireworks in the sky
The rumble and the bright lights
The clouds go rolling by.

The rain intensely pounding
Pelting upon the pavement
Staggering ice and hail falls
A mix of pure amazement.

Mother Nature is heard screaming
She must have been provoked
Is this her sense of humor?
Her idea of a sick joke?

The lightning oh so jagged
The streaks up in the sky
The haze and all the colors
Bringing tears to these sad eyes.

Grab your umbrella
If you want to go outside
Should be perfect if you’re walking
And expecting to stay dry.
