Starting to cough
Starting to sneeze
My nose is running
I’ve developed a wheeze.
Kleenex and cough drops
Decongestants and tea
Could be a virus
Or an allergy.
The pollen, the dust
Don’t open the door
The wind carries in
Those dangerous spores.
We breathe in and breathe out
A substantial amount
Into our nose
And out through our mouth.
Vitamin C
The first line of defense
Fluids and rest
Will make perfect sense.
Some honey and juice
A warm bowl of soup
Whatever this is
It’s thrown me for a loop.

I live with this all year round! So totally sympathise with you, if, as Elaine says, this is based on fact. – If not, still a great poem! 😀

I can relate because I have allergies to most anything! Vitamin C, Airborne, and Chicken Noodle Soup. Feel better soon. 💛
