I’ll never forget
The look in your eyes
The day that you left
When you said, Goodbye.

The passion, the lust
All the demands
Lying beside you
Holding your hand.

Roses and wine
Sex until dawn
Candlelight dinners
When did it go wrong?

All the excuses
Getting home late
Leaving me wondering
Making me wait. 

The cheating, no doubt
A game you would play
A means of deceiving
Of getting your way.

Never enough
To satisfy you
Too hard to be faithful
Honest and true.

Time and again
How many before
Have watched you walk out
Walk right out the door?
