A new vision, a bright star
Wanting to feel joy
To erase the pain, the scars.
Opening the floodgates
Needing to let go
Tired of feeling paralyzed
Looking for that glow.
It’s too much, I’m suffocating
It’s so hard to breathe
Feeling tethered to my woes
Wanting to be free.
Hiding deep inside myself
It’s fear that holds me back
Keeps me from moving on
Why can’t I just relax?
Not giving up, no not yet
I have the means within
Somewhere deep inside myself
The desire to start again.
