PARADISE

Head over heels
I thought I found paradise
I didn’t see it, didn’t know
That you would ruin my life.

Thrown to the wolves
Left on the side of the road
You walked away, didn’t care
Never thought you would go.

Torn limb from limb
Devoured, took all of my pride
I didn’t know, how could I?
You had cheated, you lied.

Shocked, devastated
Was hit from behind
Laughed when I cried
I was out of my mind.

Every intention conspired
Was planned.…calculated
Thought you’d come back
I sat there and I waited.

You were long gone
Passed the point of no return
No chance to recover
I had crashed, left to burn.

You’ll never know
Never know what I feel
Nothing about you is safe
Nothing real.

Head over heels
Thought I found paradise
I didn’t see it.…. didn’t know
That you would ruin my life.
