AN ANGEL

Acquaintances will come around
True friends are here to stay
True friends come when you need them
A casual friend will walk away.

True friends will shoot straight from the hip
The others stoop so low
When you ask them to help you out
They have somewhere to go.

When you need a favor
You know who you can call
They will come right over
They’ll never hem and haw.

No judgements or intrusions
They’ll always lend support
They’ll tell you when  it’s time to launch
Or convince you to abort.

No back stabbing or gossiping
They always have your back
They’ll celebrate your accomplishments
They’re the first to cheer and clap.

If you have a true friend
You’re blessed , you’re truly loved
You have a guardian angel
Who’s been sent from up above.
