Feeling such deep remorse 
After all the years gone by
Wish that I could take it back
All the times I made you cry. 

So young and terribly immature
I ran around in circles
Could never seem to get it right
I was incredibly unstable.

You never wavered, always sure
Knew just what you were doing
I was off my mark …. more times than not
It was my fault things were ruined.

Treated me better than I deserved
Showered me with love and affection
No way that I deserved it all
Since all you got was rejection.

There was no one, no one like you
I was  foolish, I was crazed
 Always looking for another
Just another pretty face.

Those nights we spent together 
Felt your heartbeat next to mine
Knew you truly loved me
Still I did it, I crossed the line.

Regret a harsh, cold lesson
I got what was coming to me
You walked out , never looking back 
It was over ….. you were done, finally.
