SNOWFALL

Unusually cold
Snow coming down
Let’s go outside
There’s snow on the ground.

Wear your snowsuit
Your hat and your boots
Let’s build a snowman
That’s what we’ll do.

I’ll bring a carrot
Two pieces of coal
A scarf for his neck
I’m sure he’ll be cold.

A long carrot nose
With coal for his eyes
When he starts melting
I know I will cry.

Ice skating and sledding
With rosy red cheeks
So glad that it snowed
It’s as white as a sheet.

When we come in
We’ll have a warm cup
Of mama’s sweet cocoa
Made with chocolate and love.

Sit by the fire
Warming our toes
Watching the flames
And the embers that glow.

A day to remember
I’ll never forget
Can’t get any better
As good as it gets.

  1. Beautiful, Patty!!! Sounds so much nicer than shoveling until the back almost breaks, spinning tires on the ice, and two sweaters still not enough to warm the arms after being outside! I like your image much better!!! Hugs, my friend!
