Just getting in
Took off my shoes

Sleeping on
The couch again
Been out all night
With my best friend.
Don’t want to get
The third degree

Waited up for me.
Can’t take the stress
Not what I need
Wish he would go
Or I should leave.
He’s not the one
Tired of pretending
Not looking for a
Happy ending.
Kind and sweet
A real nice guy
Tries so hard
But, yes….. I lie.
Won’t make a move
He’s in denial
Won’t face the truth
