SNOWED IN

The plow down the street
Piled up the snow
I can’t move my car
I may need  a tow.

Walked down ….  to my neighbor’s
To ask him for help
Can’t get my car out
Can’t do it myself.

He has tools and shovels
He’ll know what to do
My car’s stuck in snow
We got a foot, or two.

How about some hot water
To pour on the windshield?
He said , “No…. the glass would shatter!
It would crack and break the seal!”

How about we go inside
Come on  ….. let’s take a break
Take off our coats  and boots
We’ll eat some muffins that I baked.

There’s hot chocolate on the stove
It sure smells awfully good
Let’s sit down by the fire
Let’s go inside, I think we should.

Our cheeks are rosy red
Our  lips are turning  blue
It’s  time to go warm up
That’s what we need to do.

  1. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr … When I got up this morning, it was 13° with about 2″ of snow on the ground. But, I didn’t feel quite as cold when I read that it was -44° somewhere in, I think it was Montana!!! Take care, my friend, and try to stay warm! Hugs!!!

      1. Me too, my friend!!! I’ve been mostly in hibernation since winter first started! I’m so tired of it … ready for spring, for sunshine and warm temps. Take care, dear friend! Spring must surely be right around the corner, yes? 💖
