DEMONS

Children so helpless
Hard to believe
People so vicious
So cruel and so mean. 

Who could imagine
Lives torn apart
Killed, raped and butchered
Broken bones, broken hearts?

Innocent people
Once happy and free
Being murdered and maimed
Tortured unmercifully. 

Mothers and fathers
Stripped down and raped
Children beheaded
Others enslaved.

Homes turned to rubble
Dragged out by their feet
A horror to witness
Bodies left in the street.

Beyond comprehension
An entire world away
Beaten so brutally
Day after day. 

Forced into tunnels
Kept underground
Told to keep quiet
To not make a sound.

Hungry and cold 
Scared half to death
Watching men killed
Wondering if they are next.

Bombings, invasions
No one is safe
The state of our country
Now heading that way. 

Cavorting with Putin 
Withholding our rights
It’s happening here
We must see the light. 

All about money 
For the rich …. billionaires
Men with no honor
Who simply don’t care.

Satan has entered
Into the realm 
Trump and Elon 
Heartless demons from hell.
