Our hands are tied
We’re spoon fed lies
Enough to make
A grown man cry.
Leadership unqualified
Taking us.….all for a ride
Dismantling our government
None of this is what we want.
They fail to see.. they voted in
A dictator who speaks for them
Control no longer in our hands
Too ignorant to comprehend.
Billionaires now have control
Sycophants do what they’re told
When presented with the facts
They still believe he has their backs.
Entertained and amused
By his boorish attitude
Soon they will feel differently
Give it time, just wait and see.
The pentagon, the FBI
Now led by men who steal and lie
Veteran’s rights have been abolished
None of this is hyperbolic.
Slashing social security
With no regard for the eldery
Medicaid and Medicare
Under fire. … you should be scared.
Global tension on the rise
Children starving, they will die
Heading for a planned recession
Designed to cause.… total suppression.
More money for the very rich
Only they will benefit
Tarrifs lead to isolation
Consumer strife, more confrontation.
Republicans have taken to
Pleasing Trump and Putin, too
Our only hope… Is to revolt
Take back our country’s heart and soul.

Oh WOW, my friend! You have hit every nail squarely on the head! This is, sadly, where we are today and half the nation is still in a zombie state, still thinks he’s “looking out for their best interests”. Great poem!

Powerful stuff, expressed so well. Every nation is facing this. Fake narratives, fake news, all are involved in this in the name of betterment of public. Hope some sensible will come forward and find the solution.
