MY LUCKY DAY

Some are lucky
Some…. not so much
Some seem to have
The Midas Touch.

Some have money
Some have fame
Some … like bugs
Drawn to the flame.

Salt over your shoulder
When there’s a spill
A bit of holy water
To sprinkle at will.

First on the list
Wherever you go
Not one broken mirror
Not one shard to show.

When taking a walk
No stepping on cracks
What could be worse
Could be worse than that?

I got a feeling
Deep down in my bones
Gotta make a decision
A cup or a cone?

Playing my number
Lucky 842
Whatever happens
I’ll split it with you.

Bring on the clover
The horseshoes, the sage
No need to worry
It’s my lucky day!
