THE RIGHT TO PROTEST

Devoid of empathy
Filled with greed and hate
Nothing he is doing
Is kind, nor is it great.

Deplorable behavior
Blood dripping from his hands
Causing death and destruction
Just because he knows he can.

Blowing up boats from Venezuela
Without legal Search and Seizure
Just complete annihilation
In a rage,  a killing fever.

Murder and bribery
Threats and manipulation
No conscience or remorse
No seconds thoughts or hesitation.

Initiating and provoking
Via hate and  prejudice
Calling Democrats , “ANTIFA”
Is enough to make you sick.

Lies and propaganda
He really just can’t wait
To spread his vile agenda
To every city, and every state.

Laying a foundation
Paved with lies and fear
Provoking and triggering
His message is quite clear.

Control and suppression
A gateway to dictatorship
This country is rebelling
They object to all of this.

A “No King’s” demonstration
A peaceful, calm, protest
We have the right to speak out
Without fear of an arrest.

The right to march in unity
To voice objections, to be heard
Should not be met with violence
We all know this is absurd.

How do we stop this madness?
He’s a bully, through and through
If republicans won’t help us
I’m afraid it’s up to you.

  1. That we’re living in these times of chaotic turmoil and suffering simply because of “hate” is what’s so mind-numbing. I remember junior high Civics and high school Government classes where we learned the tenets of civilized debate and political compromise. We might never agree, but we managed to move forward – sometimes at a snail’s pace – and build a country where “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” was within the grasp of most citizens. But now, not only is compromise out of the question, but being jailed or even killed is too close to becoming the status quo.

Equally chaotic… and insane, is that this “administration” has support from far too many Americans who believe the suspension of Constitutional rights and basic humane treatment is for the common good of the country, or at the very least, for those who share their narrow, short-sighted bigoted beliefs.

They say history is written by the victors, but no one will be able to paint these times as anything but another repeat of cruelty and man’s inhumanity to his fellow man that it is because we refuse to learn the lessons and outcomes of those who came before us.

    Happy “No Kings” Day! 😉

Those who cannot see the light are generally ignorant and uninformed. Many are holocaust
deniers, as well! History can repeat itself! 😱
