AN ADDICTION

Don’t waste your time
Don’t sit and cry
When she decides
To say, “Good Bye”.

It’s dopamine
It’s nothing  more
You have to know
What she came for.

She lies to you
Gets what she wants
She’s learned what works
The rocket’s launched.

She flirts, she smiles
Takes off her clothes
That’s all it takes
That’s all she knows.

One of many
She has touched
She’ll take it all
She craves so much.

Reclaim your strength
Turn things  around
Get your feet
Back on the ground.

She’s using you
She did before
You’ll watch her go
She’ll close the door.

Her bread is buttered
By someone else
She wants the money
She needs his help.

You’ve got to know
This isn’t fair
She knows you’re hurt
She doesn’t care.
