Toking, smoking, getting high
Clouded thoughts, left in a fog
Out of focus, off my mark
Can’t see the light, it seems so dark.

Upside down, turned inside out
So much noise, it’s so damn loud
Through a maze, you led me thru
I had no doubts, I trusted you.

Need a mantra, need this fixed
Getting fucked, so tired of this
Every day and every night
Need some sparkle, need some light.

Scrambled, twisted, sorted lies
Makes me want to wail and cry
All the while, I believed
I was the one, the one you’d need.

Going where the getting’s good
I’ll pack my bags, I know I should
I have to go, I just can’t stay.

I was crushed…yes, devastated
I couldn’t catch my breath
Gut punched and blindsided
Could not believe the things you said.

A million lame excuses

Don’t take me on vacation
To try and ease the blow

Especially, last night.
