The temperatures are frigid
The snow keeps coming down
There seems to be no stopping it
From blanketing the ground.
It’s beautiful to look at
So pure, so white the snow
But in time, it turns to grey
It really needs to go.
The roads, so treacherous and icy
Cars skidding into trees
The visibility obscured
This keeps happening to me.
I’ve got to get to work on time
Tired of cleaning off my car
The car doors are frozen shut
And, I’ve got to drive so far.
Plows and buses slow me down
My commute’s so complicated
There’s got to be an end to this
I’m feeling so frustrated.
It’s April now, and still, there’s snow
What’s wrong with Old Man Winter?
Has he simply lost his mind?
I’m tired of frozen fingers.
We really need the sun to shine
Let the flowers start to bloom
Please melt the ice and the snow
Bring us Springtime, bring it soon.
