NO MATTER WHAT WE DO

Though we try to eat what’s right
We are faced with the inevitable
No matter what we do
It comes down to more than vegetables.

Your genetics play a role
The day has been predestined
You can try to postpone
But your death is set, no question.

Running that extra mile
Might make you feel much better
But in the end, it won’t erase
That familial high blood pressure.

When the time has finally come
No medicines or pills
Will help ward away the Reaper
Best to plan to have a will.

We are born, and we will die
The cycle then repeats
We get buried in the ground
Six feet below and underneath.

So, make the most of your life
Be mindful of what you say
Be kind to those who need it most
Be thankful for each day.
