A LINE IN THE SAND

Too many times
You turned on me
Though we had some fun
I was blind, didn’t see.

The trust isn’t there
It was shattered with lies
The question I ask
Is always just …why?

When it mattered the most
You were not there
You sat on your hands
You just didn’t care.

A line in the sand
There comes a point
When you have to decide
There’s no chance if you won’t.

No way to turn back
To turn back the clock
I’ve put up a wall
I’ve now got you blocked.

I’ll miss you it’s true
But the trust isn’t there
You should have tried harder
But you didn’t care.

You waited too long
You should have done what was right
You made the choice
Outta mind, outta sight.
