MAGIC IN THE FOREST

Let your imagination soar
To heights beyond compare
Let your thoughts drift away
Let them take you there.

There is magic in the forest
There are creatures everywhere
There are fanciful adventures
If youโ€™re willing, if you dare.

Dragon flies passing by
Fairies and unicorns
They have gathered all around us
Another duckling has been born.

The waterfall, the crystals
Sparkling in the sun
Thereโ€™s room enough for everyone
To share a day of fun.

The birds on high… fly and sing
They sit upon the branches
They watch the ants march far below
While the willow gracefully dances.

Down on the ground a snake crawls by
A lizard and a toad
They make their way so carefully
To their safe and warm abode.

Night will fall before too long
Time to hurry getting there
They make their way across the field
They are careful, but not scared.

Anxious now to get back home
They wait for dawn’s daylight
They long for the warmth of sunshine
On this cold, damp, chilly night.

  1. Lovely poem, thanks for sharing… what would the human race be like without imagination…. what would be the state of the universe without Walt Disney, one wonders.. ๐Ÿ™‚

โ€œI believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.โ€ Robert Fulghum
