Wrapping gifts
Weary, so weary
Oh so tired of this.
Money spent
Feet are sore
What is all this
Really for?
Prices high
Expensive toys
Spoiling kids
Where’s the joy?
I say, we simply
Make something
Cookies, cakes
With green icing.
Sweet and pretty
Warms your heart
Christmas taffy
To pull apart.
Candy canes
And, lots of sprinkles
On cupcakes that
Glitter and twinkle.
A cup of chocolate
Warm and sweet
With marshmallows
The perfect treat.
