A LITTLE TOO MUCH

What do you want?
Why are you here?
You could have gone out
Almost anywhere.

Here with your friends
Having a  drink
A little too much
What do you think?

Don’t want to see you
Or watch you dance
Don’t want to get close
Don’t want to …. I can’t.

Flashy ….  unstable
Gasoline and a match
Way too much friction
Been there… done that.

Sipping the suds
Laughing too hard
You took my pride
Then shattered my heart.

I need you to go
Finish your beer
Pick up your purse
Then get out of  here.

Don’t make a scene
You’re not into me
We both know it’s over
Just leave …. quietly.
