He’ll take it all ….then walk away
No interest in the things you say
The time that’s spent on his behalf
Just makes him smile …. then makes him laugh.
A player who can find a way
Into your heart then steal away
You’re left bewildered …. feeling shocked
Wishing you could make him stop.
A winsome smile …. a wink, a nod
He wants so much …. expects a lot
Gets his way …. falls at his feet
All the women that he meets.
Smokes his pot, his cigarettes
Takes whatever …. he can get
Food or money …. care galore
He takes it all …. then asks for more.
Everyone just wants to help
But he is out …. just for himself
Hanging out by candlelight
Hoping to get high tonight.
When there is something he should do
He hopes that he can call on you
Stop being so accessible
Stop acting so predictable.
Keep to yourself …. tell him you’re busy
Don’t let him make you feel so shitty
You know he’ll take you for a ride
It’s time for you to say, “Goodbye”.

You da poet! And it sounds as if you have some personal experience with this sort of person. Yep, “Goodbye and good riddance” is the best thing to say to him … I think we’ve all known someone like him.

Yes, this type of guy is to be avoided!
Not all of my poems are about my own personal encounters. Sometimes I am inspired by the tales of others!
But yes…. I have known more than my fair share of TAKERS! Like you said, “ GOOD RIDDANCE”!
Hope all is well with you ! Always love to hear from you! 💜
Thank you!!!!
