IT’S OVER

Tried my best to stay away
But, there I stood outside her door
When she answered,  I knew at once
She didn’t love me anymore.

She  stepped outside, then closed the door
“What are you doing here?”
“I need you”, I pathetically replied
Then she said the words I feared.

“I’m not alone , you have to go
You can’t show up like this!”
“We just broke up and you’re with her?
I feel so powerless.”

“You should have called or sent a text
This could have been avoided”
“It’s only been a few  weeks, now”
“Do you know.… it’s 2 in the morning?”

There were tears and a warm embrace
A sad look  in her eyes
But, I knew.….it was clear
There was no hope or chance to try.

I finally hailed a yellow cab
She waited  till I got in
Could not believe she found someone
And that.….this was the end!

Broken hearted , devastated
I was now heading home
She went back to someone new
While I went home alone.

She had moved on….was ready to
What we had could not be fixed
No special charm, a spell or wish
Just one last, parting kiss.

      1. I got a text message from the post office saying that my package was currently on hold due to an error in the door number provided, but I figured it was a scam message, so I never responded to it. How exciting, your first movie and I am sure that it will be interesting.
