A LAWLESS KING

No safety net, no boundaries
He wants to have control
He’s brought in the Army National Guard
Who must do what they are told.

Weekend soldiers who love their country
They’re confused, don’t want to go
They don’t want the confrontation
With neighbors that they know.

American cities are being violated
By “Proud Boys” behind masks
No means of identification
Moving quickly, moving fast.

Over riding, overstepping
State laws and jurisdictions
Provoking and intimidating
Arresting, yes it’s sickening!

Using U.S. streets as training grounds
With corruption of the FBI
A total abuse of power
Is enough to make you cry.

He’s a madman, a total wanna be
A dictator, a lawless king
We’ve got to hold him accountable
For each and every thing.

Wants to call out the military
Plans to occupy city streets
He’s violating the Constitution
To satisfy his goals and needs.

He pardoned the insurrectionists
Many now employed by ICE
They are violent, cruel and heartless
Love to enrage, provoke and fight.

Men repelling from helicopters
A scene from a third world country at war
The chaos, the violence, the terror
Like nothing we’ve seen before.

Taking children in the dead of night
From the safety of their homes
Using zip ties and handcuffs
As they scream, “Leave me alone!”

Some say there’s nothing we can do
But, that really isn’t true
You must speak out, say it out loud
That’s what you have to do.

We’re not helpless to stop this injustice
Republicans in Congress could impeach
But, they fear the wrath of power
That he will … at once …… unleash.
