THEY’RE DROPPING LIKE FLIES

What seems to be happening?
They’re dropping like flies
My family and friends
So many have died.

It’s pretty scary
Am I next in line?
How long do I have?
So soon out of time.

Once over fifty
There’s nowhere to go
But six feet under
A few feet below.

Getting your ducks
All in a row
Make all your plans
Before you must go.

Get it together
Information to share
Talk to your family
And whoever cares.

I’ll opt for cremation
No worms, please no bugs
Scatter my ashes
Just make sure I’m drugged.

The next diagnosis
Diseases and falls
Lead to demise
And our death after all.

Consider your blessings
Make the most of each day
Who knows when your time’s up
It could be today.
