MY ANGEL PROTECTS ME

My angel is there
To shelter and protect me
Guard and defend me
From danger, I can’t see.

Gargoyles and monsters
Savages and beasts

But, at night when I’m asleep
They will come calling
They’ll sneak up on the stairs
I can hear them crawling.

They have sharpened claws
And pointy red beaks
They look like vampires
Monsters and freaks.

They’re afraid of the angels
They know well and good
That they better be gone
Go back where they should.

The spell that’s been cast
Will keep me from harm
It will call on my angel
It will sound an alarm.

As long as my angel
Is there next to me
I have nothing to fear
Safe and sound I will be.
