Sunshine and palm trees
So lucky are we
Living in paradise
I just can’t believe.
The ocean, the weather
The sand and the sun
Building sand castles
Are always such fun.
Sailboats and surfboards
Waves passing by
The beautiful clouds
And the pretty blue sky.
Walk to the pier or
Down to the jetty
Watching the ships
The boats and the ferry.
Sitting with friends
Under umbrellas
Or holding hands
With your favorite fella.
Cold drinks in the cooler
Snacks changing hands
Being together
A perfect day planned.

I’m sorry. I lived in NY for most of my life. I am happy to be here, but I miss the snow. I miss sitting by the fireplace, on a cold winter’s night. “The grass always looks better on the other side”. 🙂

Right now, you are missing SNOW. Lots of it. Florida is very appealing right now…. 😉

Patty, this poem is SO good… The imagery is so clear and smooth… I’m sure everyone who reads it can picture themselves in “Paradise”!
