LOSS

One special moment
One special day
A special memory
Locked away.

Your precious smile
Your warm embrace
That caring look
Upon your face.

There’s no way
To bring you back
You are gone
And that’s a fact.

I’ll never hear
Your laugh again
But I can still
Remember when.

Before Disease
Had ravished you
And left me here
So sad, so blue.

Left to pine
For you all day
Until I find
Another way.

To deal with loss
To deal with grief
A pain so harsh
A pain so deep.

At least the memories
Still remain
They ease my sorrow
They ease my pain.
