LOCKED OUT

Barricades and padlocks
Chain linked around my heart
Once inside, the damage done
My world was torn apart.

No bartering or pleading
It’s there ….written on the wall
Don’t come any closer
Looks like you’re going to fall.

Finally got your number
No longer next in line
That train has left the station
Looks like I’ve changed my mind.

Well passed the point of no return
There’s nothing left to do
Got tired of playing second best
Got tired of wanting you.

The tricks and magic potions
That made me lose my mind
Brought me down to my knees
But, now ….I’m feeling fine.

Barricades and padlocks
Up ahead… the road is blocked
You’re no longer welcome here
That door’s been shut, it’s locked.
