DESPERATE

Desperate
In panic mode
What will he do?
If told to go.

Digging in
He has no shame
He will accuse
He will cast blame.

No gracious speech
Peaceful transference
No remarks
Of reassurance.

Will need to be
Removed by force
Will bar the windows
And the doors.

Won’t concede
Won’t walk away
Will call upon
The fringe …. the fray.

The White Supremacists
The KKK
All the nut jobs
Out that day.

Threats and lies
Tweets galore
Be prepared
There’s so much more.

      1. He so is. Sorry, I don’t know where my manners went. I should have mentioned I really enjoyed your poem. My husband has written a couple of humerous poems about him that I put on my other blog. If you want to check them out it’s at mykiewritesit(dot)blog. I used to write all kinds of political poetry myself, but I’ve been rather consumed with a different theme the last few years!
