No calls …. no text
No late night talks
No late night sex.

Could not cajole
Or pressure you
You said,  “We’re  done”
You said,  “We’re through”.

No warning signs
No caution lights
No arguments
Disputes or fights.

A calm repose
A simple fact
“I’m leaving you
I won’t be back”.

Like a switch
Turned off and on
You walked out
You were gone.

Caught off guard
I didn’t see
Guess you were not
That into me.

Passed right over
Left behind
You had simply
Changed your mind.
