Saw you there
Across the room
Watched awhile
What you were doing.

Standing there
All alone
I felt the urge
To take you home.

Something there
Drew me in
Something wild
Was welcoming.

I felt it
Like a roaring fire
The heat  of passion
Call of desire.

You caught my eye
The fix was in
That was it
I saw you grin.

I took your hand
You took my heart
That was it
Right from the start.

Passion fueled
It never lasts
We burned right through
Just way too fast.

Like broken glass
Too many shards
Too many pieces
Got way too hard.

Too much pain
The tears …the pleading
Not what I want
Not what I’m needing.
