PICK IT UP

Hate to complain, but have to
Can’t take it anymore
Our neighbors let their dog out
Off leash, outside their door.

The dog needs to relieve himself
He  poops  most everywhere
They should pick up after him
This really isn’t fair.

We take our dog down to the park
We pick up after her
We try and be considerate
Don’t  want to cause a stir.

But, things are getting out of hand
Last night I stepped in shit
So sorry to be so darn blunt
But, really tired of this.

My roommate is Italian
She can’t take it anymore
She wants to get a horses’ head
Place it outside their door.

Guess she’s seen THE GODFATHER
One too many times
Thinks they need a warning
I’ve got to change her mind.

We did complain to Management
Hasn’t done us any good
They haven’t made an effort, yet
Although we think they should.

We share a stone filled courtyard
No grass is there to grow
The poop is filling up our space
It has nowhere to go.

Like walking through a landmine
We try to watch for turds
Our neighbors seem oblivious
I’m at a loss for words.

Don’t want a confrontation
We want to get along
A good thing that our lease is up
In a week …. we will be gone.

  1. The ultimate in disrespect! We have had neighbors like that from time to time. Now, we have good neighbors/friends on one side, and on the other side they are quiet except about one Sunday night a month when they throw a drunken brawl on their back patio and leave half-full beer cans all over the place the next morning! I’ve noticed a decline in respect of late on a national scale … people are just to self-focused and selfish, I think.

      1. The love is guaranteed … I couldn’t ask for more than I have already … my heart is full! The good health is gone, probably never to return, but … I don’t dwell on that. And the happiness … well, that comes from within, doesn’t it? I hope things will be better for you in Florida, and I wish you a very peaceful, happy year ahead!!! You write it, I’ll be there to read it! Big hugs, dear friend! 🥰
