IMPATIENT

Why are you so impatient?
Do you have somewhere to go?
I can’t move any faster
I’m sorry that I’m slow.

My legs and arms are weak now
They don’t bend like they used to
It’s hard for me to get around
To keep up, keep pace with you. 

You roll your eyes and mumble
Whispering underneath your breath
I know that you’re frustrated
But, I’m  just not ready yet.

Takes me a little longer
I hate to make you wait
I know that you’re frustrated
Don’t want to make us late. 

If you live as long as I have 
Live well  into your eighty’s
I pray someone will care for you
When you are an old lady. 

You seem annoyed when you stop by
Had to drive out of your way
Sorry but there are some things
I need to do today. 

Don’t mean to be a bother 
I know you have things to do 
My appointments is at 1 o’clock 
We should be done by two.
