A VISIT FROM HEAVEN

A visit from heaven
You come to my backyard
Your crimson red appearance
Is what I’m looking for.

In the morning with my coffee
We share a sweet hello
You sit upon the lamppost
I observe your red halo.

Angels wear disguises
Some are yellow, some are green
But you’re the prettiest angel
That I have ever seen.

Relaxing in the courtyard
Your presence comforts me
I believe that you were sent to
Help me grieve more comfortably.

The ease and grace around me
Offers solace for my strife
Could you be my one and only
Help me live a better life?

You’re my angel, I adore you
When you are near, nothing is wrong
I look for you each morning
Your memory helps me to live on.
