THE ONE FOR ME

Premonition

I had a feeling
A premonition
Call it a hunch
An intuition.

She was a girl
Someone at work
I saw her there
I saw her first.

She had a way
She seemed so kind
I just knew
That she’d be mine.

We met for coffee
On our first date
I was excited
I couldn’t wait.

We saw a movie
Or maybe two
Before I said
“I love you”.

Now we are married
We have three kids
I don’t regret
Just what we did.

I was right
And she’d agree
She was the one
The one for me.
