Alone on the beach
What a beautiful day
The children on break
They run and they play.
Parents supervising
Lifeguard close by
The children wading
The pull of the tide.
Cold drinks on ice
Beach towels and lotion
Sandy feet
Running into the ocean.
Surfboards and tubes
Paddleboards and more
Surfers paddling
Close to the shore.
Chips and dogs
Building sand castles
Fisherman wading
Untangling tackle.
Come down to the beach
Set up your chairs
It wonβt be long
We all will be there.

Beautiful! I’ll be at the beach for 3 days next week….I intentionally waited until spring break was over. π

Smart move! I live in Florida. There are snowbirds from January to April, but right now…it’s Spring Break and the beaches and roadways are very crowded! Hope you have fun at the beach!!!!!
Don’t forget your sunscreen! π Thank you for reading my poem and taking the time to comment.

I understand, Walt. I lived in the mountains, up north. I miss Woodstock sometimes, but I don’t miss shoveling snow and the high taxes of NY State.

I spent a lot of my life in the Adirondacks, too! It’s so beautiful there! Do you have mountains where you live now?
