It’s so hard to say I’m sorry
Too little and too late
I paid the price, I made mistakes. Thought I was something great.

Living with the shame and sorrow
I regret most days and nights
I hurt the one who loved me most. What I did just wasn’t right.

Should have begged you for forgiveness
Should have gotten on my knees
There’s no excuse , nothing to say
I was a fool to leave.

So right for you to close the door No second chance for me I don’t deserve a wink or nod. Not worth your company.

I see you found somebody new
Someone that you can trust. Wish I didn’t screw around Could’ve been the two of us.
