We’re governed by a man

On a daily mission
To separate and divide
Lacking family values
So many hateful lies.

Children left, abandoned
Orphaned and brutalized
Taken from their mother’s arms
Condemned and criticized.

He is a heartless psychopath
Values power, lust and greed
Has no regard for human rights
No honor or dignity.

We are living in a country
Devoid of love and shame
Such cruelty and evil
The pride of the “Trump” name.

He’s not slowing down
With Congress in his pocket
They have turned their backs
What can we do to stop it?

Crimes against humanity
Are happening before your eyes
But no one stops the brutality

Babies being left alone

Taken from their mother’s arms
I just don’t understand.

Taking children from their parents
Is nothing less than kidnapping
Why are we just standing by
Watching while it’s happening?

Impeach, arrest and imprison
The one responsible for this
Take him into custody
This is my heartfelt wish.

Open your eyes, please take notice
These are crimes against humanity
We are living out a nightmare
Allowing such insanity.

We’ve got to turn this around
Make it end, please make it stop
Please someone do something
Sound the alarm, please call the cops!

Children taken from their parents

Babies crying, toddlers screaming
They want to see their mothers
Stripped out of their loving arms
Put in a room with all the others.

Caging children… like animals
Mothers contained and standing trial
Promised they will see their kids
In just a little while.

Reality they are charged and sent back
Back to their homes
They leave behind their children
Who are left here on their own.

Gangs and rapists wait for them
They’re welcomed with open arms
They left their homes because of fear
The fear of being harmed.

Death sentences for those who flee
Who’ve tried to get away
Leaving their children parentless
So trump can get his way.

What has become of human rights?
We are being governed by a demon
Someone please stop this madness
Open your eyes, look up and see him.

See this guy for what he is
A brutal, cruel and evil monster
Capable of taking children
Away from their pleading mothers.

We’ve got to save the children
We’ve got to come together
Reunite them with their mothers
Take care of one another.

Zero tolerance is what he says
I say stop putting up with him
Condoning what he’s doing
Is immoral, it’s a sin.

Scamming and taking

No one will stand up

I tried to fit in
I went thru the motions
But after awhile
Became void of emotion.

We do what we can
On this journey we travel
It took some time
But my feelings unraveled.

I need to know
When I’m under attack
That you will be there
That you’ve got my back.

But when push came to shove
You stood your ground
You made it clear
It was me you put down.

Love’s overrated
People take what they can
That’s why I’m leaving
With my heart in my hands.

My father’s life wasn’t easy
He had worked as a small, young boy
Bringing home milk and vegetables
No time for children’s toys.

He was only seven years old
When he started working at the church
Exchanging his toil for pennies then
He never shied away from work.

One of many children
Did his best to help provide
Never complaining about his life
Not one to whine, or cry.

As a young man he joined the Navy
With goals yet to achieve
Learned as much as he could
Never doubting his beliefs.

The war took him far away from home
It was a sad day when he was captured
The Japanese had attacked Corregidor
His leg now badly fractured.

They kept him in a prison camp
Fed rice, seaweed and tea.
No sugar, cream, or fancy cups
No thoughts of being freed.

He saw his share of horrors
Worked hard each and every day
Three years held in captivity
His life slipping, slowly away.

When the war was finally over
Those captured were set free
Thankfully my dad…. still alive
Had been sent back home to me.

My dad, my inspiration
Never bitter, never sad
Always optimistic
Always grateful, always glad.

He exchanged cards and letters
With a guard he’d met long ago
The man who held him captive
He had actually gotten to know.

They wrote to one another
Sent letters, gifts and cards
My father never held a grudge
Though he was badly l, badly scarred.

A bonze star and a purple heart
Among the many of his medals
He really was one of a kind, you see
My dad was someone special.

You took me from my mother
You put me in a cage
I cried all night, was terrified
We just wanted to be saved.

We were running from the cartel
But you ripped me from her arms
You put my mom in handcuffs
Then you put her behind bars.

You took me to a building
With strangers in uniforms
I cried myself to sleep at night
I was told I must conform.

We came here to seek asylum
To the land of the brave and free
What has happened to your government?
What will become of me?

My mother is a victim
My family tortured and abused
Where is Lady liberty?
I am feeling so confused.

We were looking for protection
We made it to the United States
Hoping to find refuge, but
Seems we’ve made a big mistake.

My mother’s now in prison
They’ll send her back from where we came
They’ll rape, torture, then kill her
Then I’ll be left alone again.

I heard them talk about the man
That was going to make America great
Guess the ones that voted for him
Have also made a big mistake!

Accolades for torture and murder

Who ever thought it would come to this?

What he’s doing is demoralizing.

Money and power all he cares about
Always threatening and boasting
Greed, lust and condemnation
All the bragging and the gloating.

Taking babies from their mother’s arms
What kind of person have we elected?
Is this the country you want to live in
Where your rights are not protected?

Remove this guy from office
Impeach him, then imprison
Take out his entourage of hate
Get back to love and reason.
