Buddhism brings me solace
I am able to slow down
Flying high above the clouds
It pulls me back, back to the ground.
Feeling calm, somewhat serene
I know just what I need to do
Relax and stay focused
My anxiety subdued.
Mindful meditation
Purposeful and kind
Helps to ease my burden
Helps to ease my troubled mind.
Conscious self awareness
Enhances concentration
Karma, our destiny and fate
Helps me focus, gain direction.
Three different Buddha teachings
Sila, Prajna and Samadhi
Give me a sense of calmness
Make me almost want to cry.
I am new to Buddha’s teachings
I am humbled, grateful, too
If you’d like to come to temple
I would like to go with you.
